SFHR To Partner With Hurco

00

Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing (SFHR) has finalized a sponsorship agreement with Hurco Companies, Inc. for the balance of the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series season.

As part of the agreement, Hurco installed a TMX8i slant-bed CNC lathe and a VMX42i CNC 3-axis mill at the team’s machine shop located at the new Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing facility in Speedway, Ind. As a sponsor, the Hurco logo is featured on the #67 car driven by Josef Newgarden. Hurco also has VIP access to the team’s race facilities that they will use to give customers behind-the-scenes track experiences that are priceless.

“Engaging a product sponsor like Hurco within our team only allows us to grow to that next level,” SFHR co-owner Sarah Fisher said. “Having the capabilities that their machines bring us gives us the opportunity to even further expand on some of the engineering projects that are on our wish list. That being said, Hurco is such a household brand name when it comes to their industry, that to bring them into our family of sponsors further adds value to the type of brands that we house here.”

The state-of-the-art machine shop at the SFHR facility will give the team more control over their engineering projects and provide the manufacturing autonomy that is vital in the competitive world of IndyCar racing.

“Actually, the sponsorship decision we made with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing is due in large part to the success we’ve had with another IndyCar team out of Indianapolis,” Greg Volovic, President of Hurco, said. “Our experience with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing during the last three years has been outstanding and our customers continually have told us how much they appreciate the track experience and hospitality. We’re excited to expand our involvement in racing with SFHR and we are honored they will be using our CNC machines to make precision parts.”
